Promoting forgotten gems
Co-founded by Mathieu Le Berre and Alexandre Coudray, LBC & CIE is a film distribution company based in Paris. By acquiring the rights to films for DVD and streaming distribution, the company offers a catalog of auteur feature films to a cinephile audience.

A new framing
To help LBC & CIE quickly stand out in the market, I aimed to create a logo with a graphic symbol (logomark) rather than just a typographic logo (logotype). The goal was to distance the brand from the cold, overly aesthetic, or overly sophisticated image often associated with film distribution companies.
By using a ‘sticker’ style with hand-drawn outlines and imperfect geometry, I was able to convey an independent, risk-taking vibe, reflecting a group of young entrepreneurs distributing lesser-known auteur films.
Another idea was to make the logo elements—such as the hands—reusable in a flexible system, allowing them to be adapted across different types of communication formats.
