Sharing forgotten gems

Co-founded by Mathieu Le Berre and Alexandre Coudray, LBC & CIE is a film distribution company based in Paris. By buying film rights to distribute them on DVD or Streaming, the company offers a catalog of feature films to a movie-loving public.

A new framing

In order to make LBC & CIE emerge quickly on this market, I wanted to produce a logo with a graphic symbol (logomark) and not only a typography (logotype). Thus, the goal was to move away from these distribution companies with a cold, aesthetic or even too sophisticated image.
By using a "sticker" style with hand-drawn outlines and non-perfect geometry between the shapes, I managed to give that "independent" feel, of a group of young entrepreneurs taking risks by releasing films by little-known authors.
The other idea was to be able to reuse the elements of the logo, i.e. the hands, in a system of variations according to the type of format of communication.
