Reveal your screenwriting creativity!

Creative Script was a screenwriting contest I organised with friends during the summer of 2019. The goal was to promote creative storytelling by writing based on three elements from a corpus: an image, a word, and a sound. The idea came from when I was younger—I owned a large book with a photo on each page, each representing a year (‘Century’ by Bruce Bernard). I would always wonder what could be happening in those scenes, what stories and dialogues could be created.

For and by screenwriters

I organized the first contest session where the winner chose the final logo from among my three graphic proposals. For the next two contests, the winner saw their script partially illustrated: a written page facing an illustrated page, in a mirrored layout. The illustrators, whom I personally compensated, were also part of my circle. Two stories were ultimately printed: ‘The Girl’ written by Benjamin L. and illustrated by Antoine P., and ‘In the Pines’ written by Paul H. and illustrated by Etienne R.
